The Changing Substance of our Collective

by Erin Rivers Mission, KS « contact Erin»   Over the course of the last few years, those of us in education are noticing a subtle, but profound change in our children. I am sure many of you have heard the lament that our schools are failing, that teachers are not working to meet the needs of students, or that the breakdown of the family has finally reached into the classroom. Firstly, you must recognize that much of the rhetoric you hear about schools failing is political and that, for the most part, this Nation’s schools continue to do an amazing

Honoring the Divine Feminine

by Janan Stiles Strafford, NH « contact Janan»   The feminine aspect has been prominent in the consciousness in the past year. From the international Women’s March to female leadership in governments and royalty to the #metoo movement there appears to be considerable pressure being exerted on some old norms. A recent article in NPR reported that the word “feminism was the most looked-up word in the Merriam-Webster online dictionary in 2017.” Online graphs of the use of this word throughout history are flat/rare until a small blip in the 1920’s (when women in the US were given the right

Anxiety and the Breastbone Attunement

by Chris Jorgensen Gladstone, MO « contact Chris »   Between the Thanksgiving holiday here in the U.S. and the end of the year festivities, I noticed a number of clients coming to the office filled with anxiety and stress. Anxiety is defined as “a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease, typically about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome” or “the desire to do something, typically accompanied by unease”. As mentioned above, besides the end-of-the-year holidays that tend to elicit stresses in various ways, there are the lingering health issues with one’s body and/or mind as well

Martin: Welcome Pressure

Edited & Condensed from a talk by Martin Exeter « July 22, 1964 »   If we do have something on earth, held in manifestation, which does not give way under pressure, all we have to do is to let the pressure increase and the distortion patterns will start to give way. In this cleansing process by which the distortions are cleared, there is no necessity for individual human beings to be cleared with the distortions. Of course, the tendency is for people in general to identify themselves with their distortions and the distortions in others, and consequently when the

Zimbabwe Rising

by Louise Broomberg Johannesburg, South Africa « contact Louise »   Sometimes it seems that patterns are so stuck that nothing can shift them. And then overnight it all changes and the feeling is, “Of course! What took us so long?!” The Berlin wall for example, the end of apartheid…and now Zimbabwe. I flew to Bulawayo last Tuesday (14 November) to spend a week with family and friends. Who could have predicted that that was the very day the military made its move to ring the changes? I was thrilled to be in the country to experience first hand the

Gifts of Attunement

by Janan Stiles Strafford, NH « contact Janan»   Last weekend Gary and I facilitated an Introduction to Attunement Workshop here at the marina on a peaceful island off the coast of Georgia where we have been docked for the past 5 months during ‘hurricane season.’ During that short time we have met a wide range of people from all walks of life, cultures, languages, races, beliefs, political views, etc. It’s been a joy to extend Attunement in daily living, enjoy the diversity, and understand more of the consciousness in this part of the world which was quite foreign to

Another Kind of Attunement

by Bonnie Jo Radasch Charlemont, MA « contact Bonnie Jo»   Maintaining a ‘vertical stance’ in the world is becoming more and more like part of a personal garden that must be tended. Observing how energy moves toward or away from me, the circumstances surrounding those flows and becoming aware of the control I have available to help insure maintenance of Loving thoughts and feelings as I move through my day has become as important to me as brushing my teeth. Not long ago, it came to me to – every morning – before getting out of bed, think of
