RHYTHMS OF UNIONAs individuals and as a world body, I believe we are in a cycle described by the word "Union". That is to say the personal experience of union and alignment with that part of ourselves we can call the Essential Self. I meet so many people who feel the urgings to listen and pay heed to a voice within that is calling to something new and grander. Acknowledging first that this voice is real, and then secondly that it can be trusted, is creating a new way of being in this world for those concerned. Virtually all are saying that they are experiencing a Flow and that things are coming together and organizing around this movement - i.e. jobs, careers, relationships, money, and modes of thought and feeling. There is simply a feeling of EASE. Quickly moving into the past are the seeming necessities of pushing, shoving, cajoling, fixing, curing, and trying. Another rhythm characteristic of this Flow is "Less is more." I feel that there has been something of an addiction to the impulses of trying to fix and get-rid-of. These actions keep us all a bit "jacked-up" and hyper. To truly let go of this way of being and settle into something new is both challenging and highly compelling. It should be noted here that ease does not necessarily imply that there are not accompanying experiences of discomfort and pain. However, because the overriding rhythm is one of Flow and ease, these conditions, rather than being overwhelming are navigated by a new awareness of transparency and transcendence. Perhaps the addiction to struggle and pushing hard in order to affect change can now be relinquished in favor of this compelling Flow. It seems that this is what the cycle of union is affording us. From my perspective, the heavy hand of pushing and shoving and seeking to control everything is giving way to a Force, to our Essential Selves, that can only be known by "allowing and letting." There is a willingness to truly give up and give over to the promptings from this Presence. Quite quickly an organizing rhythmical influence permeates the daily affairs of our lives. What is being asked of us in this current cycle of union that would align with this new rhythm?
In all things there is a Flow. It is simply a matter of listening and relaxing into it. —AS
Attunement Retreat at Rainbow FarmOn October 27th, 48 men and women gathered to celebrate, share and dwell in Attunement. The gathering was held at the Oakwood Retreat Center at Rainbow Farm, an Emissary Community near Selma, Indiana. It grew from an idea put forth during Andrew Shier's five-month Attunement class last spring in Portsmouth, N.H. and was joined by Attunement Practitioners representing two organizations from three countries. Present were members of the Emissary Attunement Guild and the International Association of Attunement Practitioners, including travelers from Denmark, Canada and twelve of the United States. Andrew led the opening ceremony on a rainy Friday evening, and from the first moment there was a collective sense of union as we shared Attunement with each other and listened to words of welcome. The purpose of our gathering came into clearer focus, and the collective vesica pisces began to open as each one stood to speak and share their spirit. Saturday was a very full day of presentations, discussions and more hands-on Attunement! Andrew Shier spoke about the nature of the two organizations and the way in which an individual's passion for Attunement transcends any organizational structures. The unified radiation of IAAP and The Guild created more opportunities for blessing in our world than could a single organization. Paul Price spoke about the consciousness of Attunement and some of the ways in which the quality of our radiation comes from living it rather than simply regarding Attunement as technique. Our choice to release external influences as we share Attunement is what creates blessing and healing in the most profound way possible. David Reis spoke about the nature of organizations, the limitations of organizational consciousness, and how we as human beings can be together creatively. One of the responsibilities of an awakened consciousness is to find ways to generate the finer ranges of substance which connect the visible world with the invisible. Joseph Antell presented a detailed look at the endocrine system and the ways in which it is a mechanism of differentiation, belonging to the incarnate Being more than to the human being. Each of the endocrine glands has two aspects which are clear and distinct, and that subtle differentiation can be perceived and blessed as we share Attunement with each one. As Joseph spoke we paired up and shared Attunement with each endocrine gland. Saturday evening a discussion session was opened by Louise Bloomberg's consideration of the nature of pnuemaplasm, and the end of our day together was spent in a powerful group Attunement as we arranged the chairs in the configuration of a vesica pisces. For those interested there was an unexpected treat as master drum maker and drummer extraordinaire Steve Lange led us in drumming and dancing. Dawn Curtis and Tim Lichtenburger assisted him. On Sunday morning Donna Tanner led a group in the singing of a chant-like song she had composed and directed. Donna Jorgensen read a Celtic morning prayer entitled "Matins" by John O'Donohue and noted our weekend experience included all four of the elements - water, air, earth and fire - as the weather moved from rain to strong winds to stillness and beautiful sunshine. Chris Jorgensen then spoke of the collective substance that was being generated during the gathering, with his observation that it opened a portal for something to emerge in the world that has been absent for thousands of years. He presented a look at the cosmology of Attunement, a detailed discussion of the Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Seals and a consideration of the Shekinah Pattern of Being as the means by which Spirit creates the upper levels of substance in a focused way. He spoke also of the evolution of the increasing quality of the lower ranges of pneumaplasm over the course of human existence. This increasingly finer substance is what has created the container in which the process of transformation has begun to accelerate, and which will allow us to return to our true state. The weekend also included a women's dance, a Native American ceremony at one of the power centers on the property, and Nan Wicker's guitar playing and beautiful voice singing "Only This Love". Our closing ceremony both indoors, and then outdoors in the World Garden, was filled with thanksgiving, gratitude and a sense of shared purpose. I know it was true for me, and I suspect for many others, that re-entry into everyday life was a bit of a challenge. We shared a powerful experience, and left Rainbow Farm with many new connections in spirit and a deepened awareness of our powerful presence in the world and of that which is yet to come. A special word of thanks to Donna Tanner and Ted Blodgett who steward the land and the spirit of Attunement there so beautifully, and all the staff who lovingly prepared such delicious food and comfortable accommodations. You helped make our experience very rich with your expressions of love. —TH |
