MAKING A DIFFERENCE

by Denise Rotert

The topic of the recent conference, "Attunement in Our Daily Lives", held great relevance for me. Attunement is a process of channeling the vibration of unconditional Love into our world, bringing heaven to our earthly plane so in need of love and blessing at this time of planetary purification, with all of the necessary changes that purification brings.

I consider myself very blessed (and privileged) to be able to earn my living as an energy work practitioner. I get to share Attunement with all who make their way to my office! My clients frequently ask if they too can learn about energy work, and I always respond with a resounding "yes". What usually follows is an explanation about the true role of Attunement in my life; how Attunement has literally transformed every facet of my life and health, and of equal importance, how I use it as a tool to assist in promoting planetary healing.

I share with these individuals the fact that Attunement helped me recover quickly after a traumatic auto accident, and that I participated in the Attunement Initiation class simply to be able to work with my own energy field for health enhancement and stress management. At the time I never considered, nor intended, to create a public practice. What I realized immediately following the Initiation class was that Attunement greatly enhanced my ability to focus positive energy into every situation that presented itself to me, and this cemented in my mind the most important reason for my learning this sacred art – healing of our larger world. After all, when we focus the powerful vibration of Love into our life situations, a ripple effect takes place that brings the power of Love (and subsequent healing) to our planet. This is truly a blessing straight from the Creator, and I know it is also the birthright of every human.

While Attunement is indeed a very powerful modality for all levels of personal healing, from my perspective Attunement is first and foremost a way to apply practical spirituality to everyday life. Many people feel they have little to offer in the way of assistance with the global situations faced by humanity every day. The imbalances in our world are many, yet each time I quietly sit and radiate Love during our collective morning sessions, I know I am making a difference in the larger field of our beautiful planet Earth. I share these thoughts with anyone who inquires about learning the art of Attunement.

I honor each of you as you explore how to apply the gift of Attunement to your daily life and personal situations. We do make a difference in our collective world when we channel the current of Love. —DR

ATTUNEMENT STORIES FROM THE CONFERENCE

Editor: One of many high points from the IAAP Annual Conference was the stories people told of their experiences with Attunement. Here are edited transcripts of some of those stories.

David Banner

From David Banner, Viroqua, Wisconsin:
I recently started an Attunement practice in Viroqua, Wisconsin. I have been working with a woman who had just gotten out of the hospital. She had a stone in her pancreas which was quite painful. She had gone through this whole process of exploratory surgery, and they couldn't get it out. When I first saw her she was pale. She had lost about 25 pounds and looked really rough. I shared an Attunement with her. I've never shared an Attunement with anyone who seemed to soak up so much of the current, so-to-speak. It was as though she was so very thirsty. In about a week and a half she was sitting up, was radiantly alive with color back in her face, and feeling good. She asked, "What did you do?" That was an experience of the power of Attunement I really treasure.

Geri Birdsall

From Jeri Birdsall, Overland Park, Kansas:
I want to share this story because it's not often that we get validation from traditional medicine about the power of our work. A client who is a friend of mine has been living with AIDS for about 13 years. At a time when he was in a really bad place and was feeling very sad and hopeless, I offered to work with him.

He had had his blood drawn the day before his appointment with me, and on his way to our appointment he received a phone call from his doctor who said that his platelet count was extremely low, and he needed to come in again immediately to have more blood work done.

When he arrived for our appointment, I worked with him for an hour and a half. I specifically used the Attunement blood technique along with Reiki, and he left feeling wonderful and very peaceful. Immediately after, he went to his doctor's office to have his blood drawn a second time. The next day he called to inform me that he had received another phone message from his doctor's office. When he had his blood drawn the second time, following my work with him, not only were his platelet counts remarkably improved, but according to his physician all of his blood counts improved. When he spoke to his doctor the second time, she asked what he had done, and he responded that he had had "this Attunement/Reiki/energy healing session" prior to the second set of blood tests. She told him to continue doing whatever he had done.

My friend and I had already committed to weekly sessions after that first treatment, and within a relatively short period of time he gained 15 pounds, and looked like a completely different person. He now looks vibrant and healthy, with renewed hope, and has resumed all of his everyday activities. Interestingly, when he did have his last health crisis it was from side effects of medications. He has continued to work with me and with the process to maintain his health, and his blood levels are beginning again to improve.

MORE THOUGHTS ON THE RIGHT USE OF POWER

by Christine Kenyon

As part of the October conference "Attunement in Our Daily Lives", Andrew Shier and I offered some thoughts on the right use of power. We all know from experience how Attunement has worked in our lives: sometimes I think we forget how powerful we really are, for "good" or "bad". When we realize the impact we can have on our world, we need to consider the quality of that impact.

So, how does one use power in the "right" way? That responsibility, for me, is partly determined by my own unique answer to a question asked many years ago by Martin Cecil: what are my values? What I value, "where the heart is", influences how and in what circumstances the power of Attunement appears in my life. For example, I treasure kindness, loyalty, and compassion. That's a nice list. But what do those words mean in concrete terms? How do I use Attunement to put them into practice in my daily living? My response to the question is my own, but what do you treasure? What are your principles, and how do you put them into practice?

Nearly 50 years ago, Uranda beautifully defined some ethical values in terms of the Beatitudes from Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. One of those is usually translated (depending on your version of the Bible) as "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled." Now, we've all heard about righteousness. "Oh, look at those awful people over there. , I certainly would never (fill in the blank)." We're "righteous" folk because we don't do/say/think whatever would fill in that blank. But when Uranda spoke of "righteousness", he called it "right-use-ness". In the booklet The Beatitudes, Volume 2, Uranda said of right-use-ness that "…its purpose (is) the … right use of our capacities, the right use of our own bodies and minds and hearts, the right use of our talents, the right use of intelligence, the right use of the feeling or emotional pattern of perception, the right use of time and opportunity, the right use of our privileges of relationship one with another…" .So, what is the "right" use of the power that we share in Attunement? In practical, everyday living, what does "compassion" look like when I practice it? How do I use Attunement to make kindness a verb, not just a noun? I want to stay as conscious as possible about the quality of what I am putting out to my world.

What "right-use-ness" looks like for me may be very different than what it looks like for you. I challenge you to ask yourself, what are your values, and to give yourself the full answer, not just the easy one. Then we may each rephrase that Beatitude as "Blessed are they who accept their responsibility and rightly use the power of Attunement in their own lives to help bring the world into alignment with the Creator". —CK
