Volume 3, No. 2
CHOICESby Sandy Ragan, Independence, MissouriOur physical bodies were designed perfectly. Our Creator gave us everything we need to survive. For example, if a bear chases us in the woods, we go into fight/flight mode. Our body shuts down digestion and pumps up the adrenalin and other things necessary to survive the current situation. Our body makes all these responses without our needing to think "more adrenalin, stop digestion, etc." This is the way it is with the innate energy the Creator gave us. This is appropriate and perfect. Occasionally we make choices or do things that interfere with the "perfectness". Like in the example of the bear, when it is over, it's over. We should not hang onto it or the emotion associated with it, or else our bodies cannot return to their normal state. We have hundreds of experiences in our life when it is necessary to go into fight/flight, but many times we do not let go of the emotion associated with those situations. We worry, feel guilt, shame, anger, or fear. These emotions over time exhaust our bodies and cause timing problems in our body's response. There are six main things that affect our body's responses. They are what we think, eat, drink, breathe, and how we exercise and sleep. The most powerful influences on our body are what we think. As the most powerful, it is also the most difficult to change. Most of us tend to be these great VCR's who replay and replay the same tapes, situations and emotions over and over again. And this is where Attunement can help you begin to make the changes. Simple things such as doing your daily sanctification in the morning and in the evening can help you. Part of staying in the current and the flow is to release and forgive any situations or people, including yourself, that have affected your emotions. By forgiving, it does not mean that you "approve" of the situation or the person's actions. It just means you give up the right for revenge (the anger). By freeing that emotion you allow yourself to learn the lessons you need to learn and can become thankful. At the physical level this allows your body to release the need for the fight/flight physiology, and it can return to its normal healing and growing mode. On the spiritual side, by becoming thankful and learning the lessons, we create a greater, stronger, and more direct link with our Creator. This in turn allows us to do the work we were sent here to do...to be radiant beings in our world. Other things to do that enhance and expand your link with the Creator and your purpose are prayer/meditation, keeping a gratitude journal, and joining in the Attunement Collective. The more gratitude you have, the easier it becomes to stay connected. So as you begin your journey to changing your thoughts, here are a couple of strategies to help. Give thanks for all the little things in your world, from the returning of the green grass, to the breeze that keeps you cool. Driving is a wonderful time to recognize and honor the world around us with a current of Love. When you encounter a challenging situation, try to find something to be grateful about. This may take a little time, but there is always something. Be sure to honor the Creator for the guidance and assistance we are provided. Thank the Creator for the help we receive while serving others. At the end of the day take two extra minutes in your evening sanctification time and write five things you are grateful for that day. Even on a difficult day, you will be able to say, "I'm grateful the day is over." Being grateful is a moment-by-moment action you can do. You will begin to find more joy by being in the current of Love. An enriching part of each day is joining in the Attunement collective radiation time from 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. central time. It is a wonderful time in which we bless ourselves, our immediate worlds, and uphold our responsibility to the Universe. For once you start living in the Attunement lifestyle, you realize we are here to help on a much larger scale. If you have done your sanctification or prayer/meditation time in the morning, you will find that your day will just evolve with no bumps or only minor bumps. If some larger bumps do occur it will be easier to stay in place and not get emotionally pulled out. Just as with the fight/flight response of our body, we don't have to "think" to be in the current of Love. If you do your daily routines (prayer/sanctification) things just flow and happen, as they should. You don't have to do the "cranking". The Creator gave us this Universal Energy so we could just be. Many times we just create interference with the flow, our spiritual guidance, the same as we do in our bodies. It is time to make some new choices. So if you don't like the way your body and your world are responding, make some different choices. Attunement is a great choice! As Martin Exeter says in his To Pray Without Ceasing...May you be a beacon of enfolding radiance in every circumstance! Love and Blessings, Sandy Ragan
ATTUNEMENTby Chris Jorgensen, Gladstone, Missouri(This article was originally published in the August issue of the KC Wellness Magazine.) At-tune-ment = at one with, in tune with, in union Attunement is a non-invasive therapy incorporating non-touch and occasional light touch that balances the physiologic and energetic functions of the body. It is a high spiritual art that involves the sharing of the radiant life force contained in "being". Thus Attunement works directly with the energy of "being". It is the reality of Love, the Love of the Creator-Being, made visible. Attunement is simple to experience for the presence of "being" is behind each human form. And contained in "being" is the blueprint for living and purpose, the design for health, and the place from whence healing truly originates. The primary Attunement is known through a consciousness of identity that is aligned and in union with the Creator-Being. Attunement in the human form with the Creator-Being is experienced through the balancing of the cervical life pattern (the energetic lines of force or pattern around which the molecules and atoms of matter form, creating the human body), and the endocrine system of seven ductless glands, which serve as specific vibrational portals for the radiant release of one's own being (spirit) into the physical body and through the body into planet earth. There are many techniques inside Attunement, techniques that one may use to balance the energetic flow through the endocrine glands, the various organs, the charka system, the nervous system and nerve plexus, the spine, the energy meridians, the digestive system, the lymphatic system, the bones, the brain and mental function, spiritual expression, and the feeling realm, all designed to enhance one's state of health and well-being. In this light, Attunement is a specific opportunity to enter into the sacred inner consciousness of union with "being" where conflict, tension, judgment, and dis-ease simply do not exist, a place characterized by stillness, peace, and harmony. There are other levels of Attunement: Self Attunement, Attunement shared between two individuals and Attunement shared in a group. While people in the healing arts like to think of Attunement as an energy therapy (and it is), Attunement is also about one's own living. It is a life-style where the quality and nature of "being" is revealed through the immediate situation or circumstance at hand, expressing one's creative best in each moment. The ancient spiritual technology of Attunement was brought into its present form in 1929 through the vision and understanding of Lloyd Arthur Meeker, who spoke and wrote under the name of Uranda. He found that Attunement helped a person to get in touch with their heart and soul and provided a personal experience of the Creator's love. -CJ |
