Serving the Universe
by Sandy Ragan – Liberty, MO
As Attunement Practitioners we are all called to serve in different ways. Some start a hands-on practice seeing clients, some bless others through their beautiful artwork or a tasty meal, and some are drawn to serve the universe–quite literally. Having always had a great fascination with the stars, planets and our own Earth, I have been compelled to serve the universe. My passion is to create balance between our planets, stars and suns as the creators had in mind.
As human beings we get so caught up in our own busy worlds and take so many things for granted. Because we are earthbound –focusing only on the things of this planet–we have not realized our obligation and responsibility to ALL of creation, even beyond the planet. This is due in part to our separatism beliefs. Just as the medical field has had to change its view of the human body from a bunch of individual parts (a liver, a stomach, a brain, etc.) that all work separately, to learning how all the parts are related and work in union, so it is with our universe. We tend to look at the universe as individual parts when in fact they are all related and have different affects on each other. Each planet, star, sun, or comet brings its own vibration and purpose to the entire makeup of the universe. Each has a responsibility or part to play in the entire creation. But to uphold this responsibility one must be aware of this role. Similarly, when a new client sees a practitioner, at the beginning the client expects to receive a treatment to feel better or more balanced. But over time as the client begins to learn more about Attunement, they move from being a receiver to becoming a partner in their own process. It is time for our planet and its inhabitants to begin to become a partner with the universe, not just a receiver.
In order to serve in this capacity, I realized that I am a part of the equation to help bring and restore balance in our universe. The way I do my part in this process is during my personal Attunement time. It may look different on different days. Some days I may pick up a certain planet within my hands, or a set of stars such as Pleiades, or the sun, and do an Attunement balancing. Other days it may be saying a simple blessing as I see the patterns in the evening sky. As I send love and blessing, instantly I receive an immediate lift. Being aware of the movement and the cycles and how they affect us here on Earth helps me remember that the energy we send from our planet affects the other parts of the universe. It feels good to have found a way to serve. I give thanks for your openness to hear my ideas on our connection to our universe.

Powers to Heal the Earth
by Margo R. Allmaras – Ft. Collins, CO
As a child of God, how do I do greater things to heal the Earth? I ponder this question, searching for the understanding that connects three concepts that come back to me again and again. The first concept is I am a child of God, which seems to be straightforward and easy to understand. The second concept quotes Jesus, I am telling you the truth: whoever believes in me will do what I do–yes, will do even greater things... (John 14:12). The third concept encompasses a desire to heal the Earth. It seems in any analytical process to gain understanding,
more questions pop up:
- As a child of God, when do I grow up?
- Do I have something that gives me the ability to
do greater things ?
- How can I heal the Earth?
I’ll focus my thoughts on the growing up part first. Most parents would like to hear their grown child say, Thank you for everything you’ve given me. I can venture out on my own now and be a responsible adult. I think that Father-Mother God would also rejoice if I said, I am an adult of God; I welcome all the gifts and powers inherited from you, my Creator. Of course, the gifts and powers received from earthly parents are much different than those received from heavenly parents. God’s gifts are powerful. God is not only with me but also in me, right down into the cellular DNA level, embedding the powers that can do even greater things. As usual another question comes forth: Well, what are those powers? Three come to mind.
The first power is healing thought. Healing thought can be similar to prayer with one difference. The thought does not go to God asking for healing or for changing a difficult situation. As an adult of God with all the powers vested within me, the healing thought can go directly from me to me or from me to another person or place (the Earth). The thought can be of peace, light or love–and it works! Scientific studies have shown that a person who projected his thoughts from 50 miles away, changed the structure of cells in a test tube. Is it okay to accept my powers of thought and use them in service to humanity? God might think, It’s about time. Being patient and all-loving, God may not use those exact words; however, it is a good thought.
The second power is healing words. Words can be silent, written, spoken or sung. Kind words and sounds are incredibly healing. Several years ago I had the privilege of being in Snowmass, Colorado, listening to children sing and play their violins. Those exquisite musical tones vibrated hundreds of miles throughout the Rocky Mountains and swirled into the atmosphere with incredible clarity. What a peaceful, soothing experience! Each day, instead of thinking and speaking harsh, negative, harmful words to oneself or to others, one can say (and sing), Just for today I will give thanks for my many blessings; I will let go of anger; I will speak words of love and respect for every living thing (plants, animals, humans, Mother Earth and cosmic neighbors). Words, like thoughts, vibrate and they don’t stop at the 50 mile test tube limit. God gave the gift of sound; it is time to use it for healing.
The third power is healing action. What gift from God in the human body produces a healing action? Attunement teaches that it is energy flow. It’s not the blood flow or breathing, even though both are a part of human energy. It is the energy that originates at the God level, flows to the human heart center and projects out from every cell of the body. Kirlian photography captures this energy, as well as specialized computers that have the technology to monitor energy strength or weakness at acupuncture points. This life-sustaining energy coursing through the human body enables one to experience healing action and to do greater things.
More and more people seem to be awakening to healing powers. Many times I’ve wondered why Father-Mother God doesn’t just do the healing. I think it’s about growing up–like teaching a child to ride a bicycle. The parent doesn’t get on the bike and ride around. The parent puts the child on the bike so he or she learns how to balance, pedal and steer. God says, Here, I’ve given you the gifts of healing thought, healing words and healing action (energy). Use these gifts to heal the Earth. In response humans are evolving to higher spiritual levels at a fast pace, like ET (in the movie) on the bike flying though the air in high gear! Mahatma Gandhi said, Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony. What do I think? I think I have grown from a child to an adult of God with the ability to do greater things. What do I say? I say I have the capability (as does everyone) to heal the Earth with innate God powers, flowing in and through my human body. The key is to accept this gift and use it in service to humanity. What do I do? I walk with confidence that I am a spiritual being (as is everyone), connected to my I AM Presence, boundless, limitless and capable of unfolding
health through thoughts, words and actions.

Working with the Earth
by David Coleman – Taos, NM
My relationship with the holy Mother Earth through Her plant kingdom has taken a whole new twist over the last 20 years. As my body, mind and heart have come more into alignment with the natural pulsations of the creative process, I have developed a deeper attunement with this kingdom. The experience of communion with these life forms has manifested itself in a number of ways.
A profound experience of connection happened at the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon a number of years ago. I found that if I closed my eyes and smelled a rose that the flower would actually appear in my consciousness with its color being visible in my mind’s eye. I tried this without even knowing what the color of the flower was. Much to my surprise, what I saw was the exact color and shape of the flower.
I recently hiked with a friend into a wilderness area not far from where I live in New Mexico. We stopped to share lunch together at a point half way up the trail where we were headed. After I sat down on the ground for a bit, I started noticing different plants that at first had totally escaped my awareness. To my friend, I mentioned each mushroom, plant and flower that caught my eye. We spoke of the beauty of the natural world and how blessed we were to be able to sit on that spot while sharing a meal. That sense of wonder that we usually equate with childhood seemed to emerge through both of us and into that place. It was as if paradise had emerged in our very presence. That evening after returning home and while blessing the day some bluebell flowers, like those I had seen that day along the trail, magically appeared in my consciousness.
Many times during my walks in the forest, I sensed a longing in Mother Nature for the presence of True Man. I began to woo Her by singing to Her and blessing Her trees with a touch or a hug. Gradually, as I became more attuned to Her, that feeling disappeared.
And then there’s the deeper relationship that has developed over the years with the plant kingdom in my garden. I invite the Nature Spirits into the garden in the spring through ritual smudging and defining Her borders by affixing different colored ribbons to posts that represent the seven directions. The Spirit of Blessing is an important part of the process of initiating a new cycle in the spring as well. I chant, smudge, and sit in silence while contemplating the cycles of Life. Every act, be it preparing the soil, planting or caring for the plants during the growing season, the harvest and finally putting the garden to bed, is all a part of honoring the natural cycles. I’ve noticed how the vegetables seem to produce more when I share their abundance with the neighbors. The food that blesses our kitchen is so nourishing also. Of course to complete the cycle we return the compost to the Earth with thankfulness for all that has come our way.
Welcoming the different creatures like the birds and favorable insects is also an important step. I’ve noticed how the birds spend a lot of time in the fruit trees where I have a bird feeder. They not only eat the seed I provide, but also the insects that attack the trees in that area. There is a similar experience with the garden. Favorable bugs like the ladybug, praying mantis, and certain birds seem to find their way into the garden to eat bugs destructive to the vegetables.
My relationship with the holy Mother Earth becomes part of what sustains not only my garden and the creatures that share that space, but also my neighbors, my wife and myself.
