Osteoporosis is a bone disease that occurs when the body loses too much bone, makes too little bone, or both. As a result, bones become weak and may break from a fall or, in serious cases, from sneezing or minor bumps. Osteoporosis means “porous bone”. As an Attunement Practitioner, I have had clients with ambiguous symptoms which have turned out to be osteoporosis in one of its stages. One recent example was a woman in her late 60’s who tripped over her shovel and fell while working in her flower garden, fracturing her wrist. It turned out to be more than just a simple fall; it was osteoporosis. So, here is some basic information on Osteoporosis and one Attunement approach to encompassing this condition.

Joseph: Osteoporosis is a condition where bones, especially the spine, hips and wrists, become weak and brittle. Osteopenia marks the first stage of bone density loss, when they begin losing “mass” (or thickness) and break down. This condition results when resorption of bone becomes greater than the production (new creation) of bone.

Osteoporosis is more common in women, beginning around the time of menopause (or andropause in men), roughly between 50 to 60 years of age. About 54 million Americans are affected by osteoporosis and the challenges related to structural decline. Imbalances in lifestyle such as a lack of weight-bearing exercise, smoking, and eating disorders like bulimia, anorexia, and malnutrition during the first 30 years of life are contributing factors. Acid blockers, blood thinners, insulin, SSRIs (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors), steroids, and other medications also play a role in the onset of osteoporosis. Bones need hormones—estrogen in women and testosterone in men—to maintain their density. These hormones prevent bone resorption and stimulate new growth.

Addressing these primary causes of osteoporosis with nutritional support and a healthy lifestyle will reduce, and in many instances may stop, the onset and acceleration of skeletal fragility and bone loss. Bones are comprised of one-third each minerals, protein, and water.

Minerals:

Calcium from bone sources (calcium phosphate) accounts for 85% of the minerals in our bones. A calcium-rich diet and proper supplementation is the single most important, effective way to support both your blood and your bones.

Calcium supplements from Standard Process will give all tissues an adequate supply for the demand. Consume green leafy vegetables, raw milk, bone marrow, and bone broth frequently throughout the week. Far-infrared saunas (one hour twice a week) will stimulate growth and repair.

Calcifood Powder is made from bone flour and is a living food for your bones and teeth.

Calcium Lactate Powder is blood serum calcium and is helpful replenishment for soft tissues, including muscles, hair, skin, nails, heart, nerves, and all organs. When the ionizable form of blood calcium becomes too low, the body will rob the bones to fulfill the mandatory calcium requirements for the tissue reserves.

Protein:

Protein is accounts for one-third of the bone makeup. All 22 amino acids (8 essential) are required in the production of bone. Low-heat processed Calcifood Powder is half minerals and half protein, and includes all 22 amino acids. Heat destroys the 8 essential amino acids. Your body cannot make bone if they are absent. Standard Process Protefood contains all 8 essential amino acids.

Vitamin C helps knit collagen and proteins together in a tight weave. Standard Process Cataplex C provides the “molecular cement” that holds collagen in a strong bond—important because about half of the protein in bone is soft collagen. The mineral calcium phosphate (Calcifood Powder) adds strength and hardens the framework of bone. The combination of Cataplex C and Calcifood Powder makes bone both strong and flexible. Please note: Ascorbic acid is not vitamin C. In nature, it is the protective outer covering of the essential factors in the entire vitamin C complex. High potency synthetic ascorbic acid supplements are not from nature. It is a chemical compound that is unusable in supporting and enhancing bone health.

Water:

The third essential aspect of bone integrity is water. The best is spring, well, or filtered water. Reverse osmosis or distilled water is mineral-depleted and useless to creating bone matrix. Fluids with sweeteners, artificial coloring, and caffeine are all poor choices that diminish the ability of water to enter the tissues at the cellular level. Alkaline water has mixed reviews on bone health. It contains fewer acid-based minerals such as calcium phosphate and may contain contaminates. The pH of bone is 7.3, but alkaline water has a pH of 8.0, making it too alkaline.

Drink one half of your normal body weight, in ounces, of spring, well, or filtered water daily.

Finally, 20 minutes to an hour of walking daily encourages and assists in balancing and maintaining normal hormone levels.

Nature’s laws are exact and must be understood and honored to achieve the full outcome of any restorative and maintenance process. Stabilizing the decline of bone health and reestablishing skeletal strength takes time. I suggest six months to a year of these applications before you will begin to see a favorable outcome. Prioritize your bone health and if you follow this suggested approach, you will greatly increase the chances of living out your final decades in optimal bone health.

ChrisFor many years Attunement Practitioners have found the long-bone protocol to be extremely useful when working with low-back pain, sciatica difficulties, and hip and knee joint problems. This Attunement approach seems to set up a resonance in the body’s skeletal structure that is healing and beneficial to grounding and spiritual consciousness. People receiving the Attunement, especially the young and the elderly, have found it to be remarkably helpful and quite settling of anxieties and stress. I also use this Attunement protocol to help with pain control such as when working with serious illnesses like leukemia and other forms of cancer, Crohn’s disease and lupus. In a few instances I have seen that sharing Attunement radiation with the bones can greatly help with releasing deeply held memory (genetic, family, and culture) patterns. It is a wonderful Attunement protocol.

The Long-Bone protocol/technique was initially inspired by my friend and Attunement Practitioner, Paul Price. I also found the work of Randolph Stone – Osteopath, Chiropractor, and Naturopath – to be helpful in furthering my understanding of this particular Attunement approach.

Here are the basic steps for the Long-Bone Attunement with an individual either in a sitting or lying position:

1) Balance the cervical life-pattern.

2) Balance the top four endocrine glands (pineal, pituitary, thyroid, and thymus) until there is a solid Attunement current in each gland.

3) Moving to the individual’s side, work through the shoulders, radiating into each shoulder joint until there is a balance in the current. Throughout this technique it is best to keep the front of your body facing the head of the client (when lying down).

4) Keep the receiving hand (RH) at one of the shoulder joints, move the giving hand (GH) to the opposite hip joint to form a diagonal across the trunk of the body. Balance the current. Share Attunement with the other shoulder and hip diagonal. Be mindful that when you are working across the trunk of the body, it usually takes longer to bring a balance to the current because of the many organs and glands located between the bone joints.

5) Hands over both hip joints and balance the Attunement current.

6) Continuing: receiving hand (RH) is at the hip joint, the giving hand (GH) is on the opposite knee to form a diagonal. When balanced move to the other hip and knee diagonal and balance the current.

7) Place both hands over the knees and balance the current.

8) Place your receiving hand (RH) over the knee and your giving hand (RH) over the opposite ankle. Balance the current. Move hands to the other knee and ankle diagonal and again balance the current.

9) Place both hands over the ankles and balance the Attunement current. I often will do a sweep or two starting at the waist and moving down and out the feet which helps to release any lingering energies.

10) Re-balance the cervical life-pattern.
