A Surreal Attunement Session

I lost my mother several years ago to cancer. It was a devastating loss to my family, but I have always believed that my mother’s spirit was close by. I recalled in the early 2000s, when her own mother died, that she wished she could be visited by her mother’s spirit. I have reflected on that specific conversation many times since her passing.

Fast-forward to June 5, 2015. I am in Kansas City for a MD review course and was receiving an Attunement as part of the Stress Management component of the program. This would be the third Attunement that Gina Kuwata and I shared. After a brief catch up with one another, I laid down on her table to share Attunement and immediately went into a deep meditative state, somewhere between sleep and waking. It was an amazing Attunement.

During this experience, I felt my mother’s spirit join us in the room. She sat on the Attunement table with me and indicated she just wanted to catch up with me and my life. So, I updated her on school, life and other matters. In turn, she conveyed to me that everything was fine and that she was delighted to connect with me. She then left and a short time later, Gina prompted me to gather myself as she finished the Attunement.

I arose in a state of semi-awareness but very peaceful, serene, and joyful. At the time, I was still trying to digest what had transpired. Simultaneously, Gina said she felt an overwhelming sense of energy and joy in the Attunement. Her word, ‘whoa’, exactly captured how we both felt. Happy, we hugged and I left as Gina prepared for her next appointment.

When I saw Gina again, I was eager to let her know exactly what happened during the Attunement and my other related experiences throughout that impactful day. I feel blessed to have experienced such an intimate Attunement moment with Gina. And, I look forward to my next chat with mother’s spirit!
